Para instalarlo, podemos descargar Teamviewer desde este enlace de su página oficial, dependiendo con que dispositivo y sistema operativo accedamos a la web, esta nos redirigirá a la versión correspondiente, si por ejemplo vamos a descargar Teamviewer para Windows, nos dejará descargar el instalador, pero si accedemos desde un móvil Android, nos llevará a su página de descarga en el Play Store.

Como instalar Teamviewer

Teamviewer puede instalarse de una forma muy sencilla en cualquier equipo, a continuación vamos a ver como podemos hacerlo en los diferentes sistemas para los que está disponible.

Instalar Teamviewer en Windows

Para instalar Teamviewer en Windows, una vez descargado el instalador, lo abrimos y en la primera página que nos aparecerá, marcamos las opciones de instalar y privadamente / no comercial, y le damos a Aceptar – finalizar:

Instalar Teamviewer en MacOS

Para instalar Teamviewer en MacOS, una vez descargado el instalador, lo abrimos, y nos pedirá dar doble click en el icono de la caja:

En la primera pantalla del asistente de instalación, le damos a Continue, nos aparecerá la licencia y volvemos a darle a Continue y Agree:

En la siguiente pantalla, le damos a Install (nos pedirá la contraseña de nuestro usuario de MacOS)

Pasados unos segundos acabará la instalación, se nos abrirá la aplicación y el asistente de instalación nos indicará que ha terminado y nos dejará cerrarlo.

Instalar Teamviewer en Linux

Para instalar Teamviewer en Linux, lo primero que tenemos que hacer es descargar el tipo de paquete de instalación más adecuado a la distribución que estemos utilizando, en este ejemplo vamos a descargar un .deb para instalarlo en Ubuntu.

Ya con el paquete descargado, abrimos una terminal y vamos a la ruta en la que se encuentre el paquete, allí introducimos el siguiente comando:

sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_15.7.6_amd64.deb

Es probable que nos dé un error, si eso ocurre, ejecutamos el siguiente comando para instalar dependencias y volvemos a probar:

sudo apt-get install -f

Una vez instalado, lo ejecutamos, aceptamos el acuerdo de licencia y listo!

Instalar Teamviewer en Android

Para instalar Teamviewer en Android, el proceso es muy sencillo, solo tenemos que ir a por nuestro móvil, abrimos el Play Store, y buscamos Teamviewer:

En el listado de aplicaciones que nos aparezcan veremos dos muy similares:

  • Teamviewer para control remoto: esta aplicación nos servirá para controlar un ordenador desde Android.
  • Teamviewer Quicksupport: esta aplicación en cambio nos servirá para poder controlar el móvil en el que lo instalamos remotamente desde otro equipo.

Seleccionamos la aplicación que vayamos a necesitar para abrir su ficha con toda la información, y le damos a Instalar para que comience a instalarse.

Instalar Teamviewer en iPhone

Para instalar Teamviewer en iPhone o iPad, el proceso es muy similar a Android, en este caso abrimos el Apple Store y buscamos también teamviewer,  entre los resultados de la busqueda, tendrmeos también dos aplicaciones:

  • Teamviewer Remote Control: para controlar equipos remotos desde el iPhone o iPad.
  • Teamviewer QuickSupport: para que desde otros equipos se pueda controlar el iPhone o iPad en el que lo instalemos.

Le damos a la opción que más nos convenga, y en la ficha de información de la app, le damos al obtener y Instalar.

Teamviewer Portable

Si no tenemos permisos de administrador, o no queremos instalar teamviewer en el equipo en el que estamos, en Windows tenemos la opción de utilizar su versión portable.

En realidad este Teamviewer Portable es exactamente el mismo que el que instalamos en uno de los puntos anteriores, pero para utilizarlo descargamos el mismo instalador, lo abrimos como si fuésemos a instalarlo, y lo único que tenemos que hacer es seleccionar la opción de Solo iniciar:

Con esto nos abrirá directamente la aplicación sin dejar nada instalado en el equipo.

Como funciona Teamviewer

Una vez ya lo tengamos instalado, o simplemente iniciado en su modo portable, utilizar teamviewer es muy sencillo.

En este ejemplo vamos a asumir que se está utilizando la aplicación para Windows tanto en el equipo en el que estamos, como en el equipo al que nos queremos conectar, ya con las aplicación abierta en ambos equipos:

  • Anotamos el ID y contraseña del equipo la que nos queremos conectar.
  • Ponemos ese ID en el equipo en el que estamos (donde pone ID de asociado), y le damos a Conectar.
  • Enseguida nos pedirá la contraseña (también del equipo remoto), la introducimos y en unos segundos ya tendremos el control
